God's way is perfect.

God's Plans:

If you are anything like us, you are always trying to figure out what God's plan is for your life.  Sometimes it can look like when something goes slightly wrong you begin to question if you have done something wrong, if God is mad at you or even you are outside his will.
As you know this is all complete nonsense, if you are following Jesus and have submitted your life to him, He guides your steps.  Now those steps may not be what we would want for our lives and some of these steps do mean going through challenging seasons but we know ultimately we are in His will and His ways are perfect.

James 1:25 (CEV)

One thing we have thought about recently is that many of us know the Bible, but in order to be blessed by it, we need to do what it says.

We all act on what we believe, meaning our behaviour and our attitudes are a reflection of what we think is true.

If you stop now and have a think, give yourself 5 mins to pause in the day.

The only parts of the Bible we truly believe are the parts we put into practice.

If what we say we believe doesn’t change how we live our lives, then we probably don’t really believe it.

That’s why when we have a difficult decision to make, we need to remember: “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true . . . ”

(2 Samuel 22:31 NLT).

When we follow God’s Word and do things His way, we are able to do the right thing at the right time.

We do need to know God's word!!!  Not just a quick skim through the Bible and hope something sticks. Or even a quick 2 minute bible study which we are all guilty of.

We need to make time for Bible study every day, whether that is in the morning, lunchtime or in the evening - just make space to read and study it.

We have a bible plan here that sets out a repeated pattern of reading the bible, memorising scripture and writing a journal. This is what we would recommend to start off with and then get an application bible to go deeper into God's word.

It doesn’t matter what methods we use to learn God’s Word. The important thing is that we are regularly studying, memorising, speaking and applying it to our lives.

When we do this, we will experience a freedom that cannot be diminished by the problems and challenges we face today

“But you must never stop looking at the perfect law that sets you free. God will bless you in everything you do, if you listen and obey, and don't just hear and forget.”
