God is Good all the time
Christian New T-Shirts for Modern Christians
We love designing new Christian T-Shirts. It is one of the things that really excites us to see Christian Clothing being worn to show off or boast about our saviour. If we could let one person know how amazing God's love is, through what we wear and the actions we display, then to us that is really special.
We were reading some great old Billy Graham blogs the other day and this one really stood out to us.
We often think that God is always pointing his finger at us to do better, try more, be a better person. The truth is this.
Being a better person can only be achieved through following Jesus. God knows that we are his children and like any good father wants the best for us.
Not everything that we want is good for us as God knows the end form the beginning. To be a better person means coming to the Lord and seeking him with all your heart, being open to the Holy Spirit to change you from the inside out. This is a life long walk with God that only finishes when you move from this life to the next.
So God is not angry at you, no way. He wants the best for you and for you to know him more.
That's our God, a relational God who will always pursue you no matter how you feel or what situation you are in.
We love this scripture:
New Living Translation
If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.
2 Timothy 2:13
God cannot be something that he is not. With this in mind we can rely on the promises that he has given throughout scripture to us and hold on to what he says about us. We are truly Children of God who through Jesus can achieve the impossible.
“For the believer there is hope beyond the grave, because Jesus Christ has opened the door to heaven for us by His death and resurrection.” -Billy Graham
“Easter always brings hope to all of us. For the Christian, the Cross tells us that God understands our suffering, for He took upon Himself at the Cross all of our sins and all of our failures and all of our sufferings. Our Lord, on that cross, asked the question, “Why?” “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?” And he received his answer, he knew. To redeem the world, to save you and me from our sins, to give us assurance that if we died we’re going to heaven. He was saying from the cross, I love you and I know the heartaches and the sorrows and the pain that you feel.
Easter points us beyond the tragedy of the Cross to the hope of the empty tomb. It tells us that there is hope for eternal life for Christ has conquered death. It also tells us that God has triumphed over evil and death and hell. This is our hope and it can be your hope as well.”
Hope is found in the promises God has given us – promises of freedom from sin. We can find so much hope in Scripture through the gift of eternal life made possible through His son, Jesus Christ. No matter what trials, temptations or pain we may suffer, we can always hold onto the hope God extends to us.
Here are five verses that demonstrate the hope we can find in Jesus Christ.
1 John 5:13-14
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
1 Peter 1:3-6
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again, The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
